Patient Care Technician workshop is for CNA's who wish to enhance their skills or increase their career options. This is a 40 hour hybrid course that will require a minimum 20 hours of home study and 20 hours hands on simulation training. There will be a basic review of vital signs, adl's, patient safety, medical terminology, infection control and mobility. Students will be newly trained in: phlebotomy, ekg, sterile techniques, wound care, catherization, enteral feeding, ostomy care, oxygen therapy.
Course requirements: valid CNA, CPR & First Aid, ppd/chest xray, blue scrubs.

EKG workshop is for those who already have a medical or work background or experience or those certified as a nursing or geriatric assistant.
As a Certified EKG Technician (CET), you’ll have the credentials nearly all healthcare employers require to perform the critical tasks of administering EKGs, as well as Holter monitoring and stress testing. These tests can be performed during physical exams, when cardiovascular problems are suspected, or in preparation for surgery. 4 week hybrid class that requires a minimum of 14 hours of home study and 16 hours of in class training and simulation.
Topics covered will be:
Cardiac anatomy and physiology, infection control,safety, HIPAA, OSHA, communication, legal issues, 12 lead placement with interpretation, arrhythmias, stress testing, holter monitor, maintaining equipment, identifying and resolving artifacts.

Medication technician training is a 20 hour hybrid course with a minimum of 12hrs home study and 8 hrs (2-four hrs days) of in person training. This program prepares individuals to gain employment as a CMT in a skilled nursing or intermediate care facility, school health, adult day care, group homes, etc. under direct supervision of a RN.
The topics covered include but not limited to: role of CMT, safe medication routes, administration & storage, documentation, drug uses, side effects & interactions.
Requirements: must be 18yrs old, high school diploma or GED.
Med Tech 20hr course: $225
